Business Operations Manager - Digital & AI (12 month FTC to cover maternity leave)

Location: Central London (2-3 days a week onsite)

We're seeking a Business Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping how this organisation works in an increasingly digital and AI-enabled world. Sitting within the Digital Operations team, this role will focus on improving organisational efficiency, scalability, and decision-making through two key areas:

  • Driving digital and AI literacy across the business
  • Optimising and redesigning business processes to support growth, compliance, and operational excellence

This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure digital initiatives and AI solutions align with real business needs

What you'll be doing
Digital & AI Literacy
  • Lead the design and delivery of organisation-wide digital and AI literacy initiatives
  • Embed digital and AI understanding into day-to-day decision-making and operations
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and the wider business, translating complex concepts into practical outcomes
Business Process Improvement
  • Analyse, map, and redesign business processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce risk
  • Ensure processes are clearly documented and well communicated to stakeholders
Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Work closely with senior leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders
  • Support change initiatives, helping teams adopt new ways of working
  • Report progress, outcomes, and impact to senior leadership

  • Widespread adoption of digital and AI literacy across the organisation
  • Measurable improvements in productivity and informed decision-making
  • Streamlined, well-documented, and compliant business processes

What we're looking for
Experience, Knowledge and Skills required
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation and the practical use of AI in business
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and operational risk management
  • Business process mapping and analysis
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Designing and facilitating training or capability-building programmes
  • Strategic thinker who can align operational improvements with business goals
  • Analytical and data-driven in approach
  • Confident change agent with the ability to influence across teams
  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex ideas
