Overview

We are delighted to be supporting a leading professional services group in their search for a Business Advisory Assistant Manager to join their Aberdeen office. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounts, budgets, forecasts, and advisory projects while building strong client relationships. The role will suit a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) but may also consider part qualified or finalist with proven experience in client management, technical compliance, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and supporting a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Preparing year-end and management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing excellent service.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Overseeing all aspects of client accounting work, from planning to completion.
  • Reviewing and finalising accounts, reports, and client queries.
  • Delivering specialist advisory and project work to a high standard.
  • Keeping up to date with accounting standards and new legislation.
  • Supporting tenders and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members.
Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or part qualified/finalist with proven experience in client management, technical compliance, and mentoring junior team members.
