Band 5 Hub Manager – Offender Management Unit, HMP Winchester

Responsibilities
  • Line manage staff and deliver all people management duties (performance management, appraisals, disciplinary investigations).
  • Manage the transactional activity within the administrative Hub, ensuring accurate data entry into local and national systems.
  • Oversee the achievement of Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs) and Hub performance, producing relevant reports and analysing data.
  • Draft external and internal communications on behalf of the Hub and provide management information to the Head of Function.
  • Act as first point of contact for relevant external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a people‑management role, preferably within a criminal justice or prison environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with MS Word and MS Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and leadership abilities.
  • Capability to work flexibly and manage workload within operational priorities.
