Associate Employment Solicitor

Birmingham – £55,000 - £65,000

Employment Solicitor – Associate Level
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon or Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
PQE: 1-4 Years

An established and forward-thinking regional law firm is seeking an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join its growing team. With offices in Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham, the firm offers genuine flexibility, a collaborative culture, and a strong commitment to personal progression.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially aware and personable Associate to work alongside experienced Partners in a team known for its high-quality work and impressive client base. You'll be part of a tight-knit group, currently experiencing its busiest period to date, and playing a central role in its continued success.

The Role

You’ll handle a predominantly non-contentious caseload, with around 75% employer-focused advisory work and 25% involving senior employee matters. The emphasis is on strategic support and long-term relationship-building, rather than reactive litigation – tribunal work is rare and typically resolved early.

The team operates with a modern mindset – hybrid working is well established (usually 3 days in-office, 2 from home), and you'll enjoy autonomy without being left to fend for yourself. There’s a strong focus on collaboration, with dedicated time each week for knowledge sharing and team development.

What’s on Offer
  • Choice of office base: Stratford-upon-Avon or Birmingham
  • Hybrid working (3/2 split)
  • Strong mentoring and close Partner support, alongside genuine responsibility
  • A culture that prioritises team performance over rigid targets
  • Competitive salary with a discretionary annual bonus linked to both individual and firm performance
  • Clear progression opportunities with leadership potential – this is a key growth role
  • Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Solicitor qualified in England & Wales, with at least 1 year’s PQE in Employment Law
  • Comfortable working with employer clients in an advisory capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and strong commercial instincts
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • Genuine interest in business development and building client relationships
  • This is a standout opportunity to join a team with real momentum, where your contribution will be valued, your development genuinely supported, and your career trajectory clearly mapped out.
