Assistant Manager - Tax Services Group (Personal Tax)

We are looking for a pro-active, resilient, and driven individual to join our group.

Description

We are recruiting an experienced Assistant Manager focused on managing the personal tax compliance cycle. The role includes providing ad hoc advice related to the annual compliance cycle to a growing portfolio of individuals, trusts, partnerships, and LLPs across various sectors, especially landed estates and rural businesses.

As a training office, the candidate is also expected to support the development of junior staff through on-the-job training.

Key characteristics and skills required:

  1. A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  2. A high level of motivation, ability, and commitment
  3. Previous relevant management experience, managing a personal tax portfolio and reviewing work of junior staff
  4. Experience in delivering and managing personal tax compliance services
  5. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines
  6. Experience in providing tailored advice, including inheritance and capital gains tax planning, international tax, and trust planning, with a broad base of knowledge in these areas. Land-based issues are significant in the current workload.
  7. Professional services background
  8. Confident communicator with colleagues, partners, and clients
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. High attention to detail and timeliness
  11. Excellent IT skills

Applicants should preferably be CTA qualified or equivalent.
