Location: Leeds (Field-Based Role - covering Yorkshire & surrounding regions)

The Opportunity

A leading supplier of precision tooling and engineering solutions is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to manage and grow business across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions. This is a field-based role, ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and driving revenue growth in the manufacturing, engineering, and machining sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a defined territory, maintaining and growing existing accounts
  • Generate new business through targeted prospecting and lead development
  • Provide technical guidance and consultative support on precision tooling and related solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and support customer trials
  • Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close sales to meet or exceed targets
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and reporting through CRM systems
  • Work closely with internal technical and applications teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings to represent the business professionally
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven sales experience in precision tooling, machine tooling, clamping, or industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Strong technical understanding of machining processes, tooling solutions, or engineering applications
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident working independently in a field-based role
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Full UK driving licence
