A leading higher education client in Uxbridge seeks an Admissions Officer for a 12-week position. The role involves managing student applications, ensuring data integrity, and providing support during critical periods such as Registration and Clearing. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and substantial administrative experience, with a customer-focused approach needed to handle high-volume queries.

Duration: 12 weeks (possibility of the role going perm)
Location: 100% campus based - Uxbridge
Pay: 18.57
To provide a proactive, efficient, and effective customer-focused service to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Language Centre applicants to the University, from application through to registration, and to make a major contribution to student recruitment at the university. Responsibilities include high-level administrative and analytical activities such as assessing academic and English Language requirements, visa eligibility, fee status, and maintaining data integrity and record accuracy. The role also involves liaising with academic staff on borderline applications and managing the Selection Day processes.
The Admissions Office is organized into Undergraduate, Postgraduate, DBS & Scholarships, and Systems teams, with the Admissions Officer role within the UG/PG teams. Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing all College applications, timely record updates, professional email responses, and supporting annual Confirmation, Clearing, and Registration activities, especially from July to September. This includes implementing confirmation processes, handling high-volume queries via phone, email, and Live Chat, supporting student registration during Welcome Week, and ensuring UCAS compliance. The role requires initiative, independence, and contribution to the strategic development of Admissions processes.
The Admissions Officer processes student applications, providing professional, responsive service to students, agents, and advisors. They respond to inquiries across multiple communication channels, advise on programmes, entry requirements, and policies, and liaise with other departments such as Student Finance, Accommodation, and the Student Centre. They also advise international students on visa requirements, prepare CAS numbers in compliance with UKVI regulations, and support registration activities, ensuring UKVI compliance for international students.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines; high attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and remain calm during busy periods.
