A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an Enhanced Nurse Practitioner to join their Acute Oncology team. The role involves providing individualized and specialist care to oncology patients, working autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should be registered nurses with experience in oncology or acute care. This position offers day shifts and promotes a culture of learning and staff wellbeing.
This role will allow you to develop skills and knowledge whilst working as an Enhanced Nurse Practitioner within the wider Acute Oncology nursing and medical team. We want to appoint a highly skilled and competent practitioner who, with the support of an expert and friendly team, will work autonomously to the level of enhanced practice (band 6 if in training, band 7 if already qualified or once training is completed), providing individualised and specialist care to patients who present acutely as a result of either their cancer or their cancer treatment.
As an Enhanced Practitioner, you will ensure that patients are prioritised and managed in a timely manner to ensure there are no delays in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring physical and psychological symptoms are managed and that professionals are accurately guided on symptom management. You will work alongside all parts of the multi-disciplinary team and will form an intrinsic component of the MSCC coordinator role on a day to day basis.
The working pattern involves day shifts from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday with set or rotational days off. Weekend working may be expected in the future.
Informal visits are welcomed and encouraged.
