What is the role?

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase invoices, ensuring alignment with goods received and purchase orders
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with procurement and warehouse teams
• Despatch sales orders and creating sales invoices
• Book stock in , ensuring accurate recording of raw materials, components, and finished goods
• Assist with stock reconciliations and stock takes
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Post daily banking transactions
• Maintain accurate records in the accounting and stock control
• Handle staff expenses, and company credit card reconciliations
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve finance and stock-related queries
• Ensure that the sales ledger debtors are within their credit limits and prompt payments are received
• Support year-end audit processes and provide documentation as required

Experience Required:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role is a must
• Proficient in using SAGE accounting software (or similar)
• Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Computer literate (office 365, Excel / word / MS office)
• Construction materials / construction industry experience advantageous
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise according to business needs.

Package:

Salary: £13.50 - £15.00 (Depending on experience)

Hours: Mon - Fri (20 hours per week) times are flexible but you are required in the office 5 days a week

Holidays: 28 days per year PRORATA (including Bank holidays)

Location: Chartwell Drive, Wigston, Leicester - Office based role
