The Role: Account Manager

We’re looking for an experienced MSP Account Manager to join the team and take ownership of a set of established client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, identifying opportunities for service improvement, and driving commercial growth through upsell and cross-sell activity.

You’ll work closely with service delivery, solutions, and project teams to ensure clients receive exceptional support and proactive guidance. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term strategic relationships, has strong technical awareness, and thrives in a role that blends customer success with commercial responsibility.

What You’ll Be Doing
Account Management & Growth
  • Serve as the main point of contact for your portfolio of clients, developing strong and trusted relationships.
  • Conduct regular client meetings (virtual or in-person) to review service performance and understand evolving business needs.
  • Proactively respond to queries and ensure clients clearly understand the scope of their support services.
  • Track service delivery performance, highlight actions required, and manage contract renewals.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and account activity within the CRM.
  • Identify gaps in service adoption and pursue upsell/cross-sell opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Technical & Strategic Guidance
  • Provide high-level technical advice on infrastructure, software, and hardware lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure client environments are maintained to agreed standards, working with service teams to develop remediation or upgrade proposals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to offer relevant and timely recommendations.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align IT strategy with client business goals.
  • Create annual technology budgets and refresh plans for client infrastructure.
Client Onboarding
  • Own and manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth and well-communicated transition into managed services.
Sales & Commercial Responsibilities
  • Manage your sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and Statements of Work.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly commercial targets.

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager within an MSP or IT services environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and managed services.
  • Ability to juggle multiple clients, projects, and priorities with confidence.
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing sales pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CRM/PSA tools such as Halo, Dynamics, or Salesbuildr.
