Account Manager - Pharmaceuticals | Europe (Remote)

Remote (with 40-60% travel across Europe). Permanent | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

About the Company
Our client is a global leader in the specialty chemicals industry, renowned for delivering sustainable, science-driven solutions across mobility, healthcare, and modern living. With a legacy spanning nearly a century and operations in over 100 locations worldwide, they are at the forefront of innovation, quality, and long-term impact.

Due to continued growth in their Life Sciences division, we are supporting them in the search for a highly motivated Account Manager to drive commercial success across their pharmaceutical portfolio. This is a remote-based position with extensive travel across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of key accounts and develop strategic relationships across pharmaceutical clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to grow market share and meet/exceed revenue targets.
  • Promote the company's excipient portfolio through in-person meetings, virtual engagements, tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and account planning strategies.
  • Track opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to develop integrated client solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and demand planning insights.
  • Handle client issues, complaints, or supply chain concerns effectively to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Travel frequently across Europe (approx. 40-60%) for client and industry engagements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, or Business.
  • Proven experience (approx. 5+ years) in account management within the pharmaceutical ingredients/excipients sector.
  • Strong network across European pharma markets (OTC, generics, innovators, CDMO/CMO).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Native-level fluency in English; an additional European language is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a "hunter" mindset and strong commercial acumen.
