An independent educational institution in the UK is looking for a part-time Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs in a prep school setting. The ideal candidate should have relevant qualifications and experience, along with a commitment to child protection procedures. This temporary position offers 20 hours per week during term times, from January until August 2026.
Oswestry School is an independent, co‑educational day & boarding school with an 11‑18 Senior School of approximately 380 pupils and a 4‑11 Prep School of about 100 pupils. Founded in 1407, it is one of the oldest truly independent schools in the country. The school recently received a very good inspection report and prides itself on pastoral care, a sense of community and a challenging working environment.
Oswestry School invites applications for a part‑time Learning Support Assistant to work 20 hours per week, term time (Mon–Fri, 9 am–1 pm). The position is temporary, funded externally, from January until 31 August 2026 (initially).
Appropriate qualification and experience as a Learning Support Assistant. Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
