Who we're looking for:

Rogers Sports & Media is seeking Part Time Casual Activation Specialists in Kitchener/Waterloo. You will represent our stations at the HOTTEST events in and around Kitchener/Waterloo.

Reporting to the Branded Content & Activations Lead, the successful candidates will love being the center of attention; creating IG stories and TikTok from events and making sure that our stations are well represented at an array of station and client events.

1. Execute station events and on-site promotions, including set-up of various signage, equipment, and driving branded vehicles
2. Attend all major station promotions, designated client promotions, and non-profit street team events as required
3. Assist in sourcing events to support and attend; organize on-site aspects of community cruiser programs
4. Proactively engage and interact with listeners, contest winners, clients and the general public
5. Brand and market the Rogers radio properties in a professional manner to entertain crowds with music, games, prizing, etc.
6. Establish strong relationships with other team members and key partners
7. Maintain and take promotional inventory, including signage, prizing, and equipment in the station storage area; upkeep station vehicles
8. Use and understand station social media pages while on location (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X etc)
9. Provide regular event feedback to project leads
10. Assist team with office work such as preparing guest lists, preparing web contests, preparing wrap reports, analyzing contest results and other duties as assigned.

2. High energy, outgoing and eager to initiate conversation with the public
3. Must be able to take initiative, self-manage, and flourish in a team environment
4. Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills
5. Must be able to work flexible hours weekends, evenings, and holidays - occasionally on short notice
6. Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok), Wordpress, and video editing an asset
7. Must be willing to jump into other roles as needed by station
8. Must hold a valid CLASS G driver's license
9. Able to set up station equipment (lifting up to 50 pounds)

To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted. As part of our selection process, all candidates must clear a criminal background check. Additionally, a credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
