Job Description

You are looking for a new challenge within a human, dynamic and rapidly transforming structure?

In the context of our Chemical Monitoring Solutions activities, we are looking for a Technical Application Technician for the Brittany sector (22, 29, 56, 35) on a CDI basis.

Context:

Ragged to the Technical Application Manager, you will join the West team composed of 12 people, under the leadership of the territory manager. This team includes technical‑commercial engineers and application technicians. Your area of intervention will cover the Brittany region: departments 22, 29, 56 and partially 35.

You will work on multiple industrial sites, mainly in the food industry. You will work on water distribution circuits, air‑cooled towers, industrial boilers, various equipment (dosing pumps, softeners, analyzers) and industrial wastewater treatment stations.

Your role will be to ensure the technical and analytical follow‑up of water treatment installations for our industrial clients, while developing a close and trusting relationship.

Missions
  • Analyses and sampling: You conduct sampling and analytical follow‑up in accordance with client contracts. Your rigor and chemistry skills ensure result reliability.
  • Equipment maintenance: You participate in maintenance of existing equipment (dosing pumps, softeners, analyzers) and gradually gain competence in this area. Your curiosity and resourcefulness allow you to perform first‑level diagnostics and basic interventions, with team support.
  • Stock and order management: You monitor stock levels and ensure that orders are placed on time. Your organization prevents stock‑outs.
  • Reporting and documentation: You produce a visit report using the available tools (InSight, Excel) and record in writing all activities and important developments. Your clear written communication facilitates intervention follow‑up.
  • Client relationship and opportunity detection: Your field presence maintains high‑quality relationships to secure our activities. You are proactive, proposing and escalating commercial opportunities to your manager.
  • Commercial support: You participate in drafting offers for after‑sales, equipment and chemicals in agreement with your manager. Your initiative contributes to business development.
  • HSE compliance: You exemplify HSE policy, reporting dangerous situations and are authorized to sign prevention plans after risk analysis with the client.

Time allocation: on average 4 days on client sites / 1 day working from home for administrative tasks (quotes, planning, orders, intervention reports, technical sheets).

Area of intervention: Brittany, covering departments 22, 29, 56 and partially 35.

For your daily organization, a residence located in Carhaix‑Plouguer (29270), Loudéac (22600) or Pontivy (56300), at the heart of your intervention zone, could facilitate travel time optimisation and contribute positively to your work‑life balance.

However, your place of residence is absolutely not a selection criterion for this recruitment.

Qualifications
  • You are required to hold at least a Bac+2 diploma in Chemistry, process engineering or water treatment.
  • You have a first successful experience (final internship, apprenticeship, first position) in water treatment, maintenance in the water treatment sector (plants, boiler, cooling) or in an industrial environment (wastewater stations, industry).
  • You are autonomous and know how to organise your rounds and work efficiently.
  • You demonstrate rigor, especially in analysis and report writing.
  • You are recognised for good client relations, positive communication and the ability to express information clearly and concisely.
  • You are dynamic, proactive and enjoy working in the field.
  • You are resourceful and propose solutions, able to intervene on equipment installations.
  • You master computer and office tools.
  • You exemplify HSE policy and can raise safety concerns, analysing risks with clients and signing prevention plans.
  • You have strong customer service orientation, responsive while keeping contract constraints in mind.
  • You master technical English at a B2 level (reading technical documents).
  • You possess a valid driver’s licence B (obligatory).
Additional Information
  • Type of contract: CDI
  • Work during the day
  • Proposed salary: According to profile, paid in 12 monthly installments with possible bonus
  • Profit sharing
  • Company vehicle
  • Home office
