Overview
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our SIMULIA Simpack team based in Munich area. In this team, you will focus on providing highly technical expertise in railway vehicle dynamics simulation for our customers in Germany and worldwide. SIMULIA is developing the most technologically advanced multi-body simulation solution in the industry, based on its Simpack product portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Trusted Advisor Role – Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting innovative solutions
- Customer Engagement – Present solutions during pre- and post-sales activities, ensuring value demonstration to potential and existing railway customers.
- Simulation Advisory – Advise on the design and implementation of advanced simulation workflows relating specifically to railway vehicle dynamics.
- Collaboration with R&D – Translate railway customer requirements and strategic needs into technical specifications, driving effective collaboration with the R&D team.
- Service Projects – Execute analytical studies and service projects to evaluate and demonstrate the behavior and performance of customer products.
- Technical Support – Provide specialized technical assistance and guidance to railway clients, addressing operational and product challenges
Qualifications
- Educational Background – Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and / or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or Computational Engineering.
- Industry Experience – Proven experience in the railway industry or relevant academic experience.
- Railway Vehicle Dynamics – In-depth knowledge of railway dynamics, especially wheel–rail contact mechanisms and related performance analysis.
- System Simulation Tools – Hands-on experience with system simulation software in mechanical engineering and finite element analysis is preferred.
