The role of Technical Analyst at Orchestrade offers the candidate a unique opportunity to gain exposure across all asset classes, FO-BO processes and to all types of financial institutions. From a technical perspective, the incumbent will gain insights on how to build and maintain a large and state-of-the-art system. We are looking for a motivated and analytic individual to join the growing support team in the London office. As a Technical Analyst, you would support the next growth phase of Orchestrade through daily analysis, research, development validation and direct interaction with the clients. This role would suit a candidate capable of thriving in a challenging environment. You must possess excellent logical problem solving skills and be eager to learn extremely quickly. The role would doubly suit someone looking for a career in financial technology or capital markets, since exposure to every part of post trade management is possible; from pricing, risk and P&L through to compliance, accounting, trade processing and life cycle management.

Responsibilities

• This is a client facing role in which the candidate will :
• Use his or her knowledge of finance, knowledge of the application, debugging skills and relational skills to resolve customer requests such as general questions, enhancement requests or bug reports
• Build succinct, comprehensible test cases and technical requirements for the development team
• Provide agile support to the development team through research and development validation
• Support and maintain existing systems
• Provide documentation and training for users in existing business applications
• Communicate any upgrades, releases and enhancements to relevant clients

Requirements

• Strong academic background - candidate should hold a BSc or MSc in a STEM subject from an excellent university
• Data extraction, analysis and logical problem solving skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented Programming - C# / C / C++ is preferred, but knowledge of other languages will be advantageous
• Experience with relational databases and SQL is beneficial but not compulsory
• 2+ years professional experience in finance
