Responsibilities

• Participating in Scaled Agile software development process performing tasks including coding and testing modules, maintaining, and tuning applications and related components and help others do the same from the architectural standpoint
• Participating in troubleshooting/task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities
• Ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with specific internal procedures and standards, as well as industry best practices
• Ensuring and demonstrating code quality through comprehensive and effective unit testing coverage
• Providing technical guidance and vision and set an example for other colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred). Candidates with an equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered
• Excellent understanding of software development within some of the following: NodeJS, TypeScript, Java, Python, Angular specifically, microservice architecture, professional server deployment, C++ and advanced SQL roughly in this order of priority
• 10+ years of development experience in some of the above languages
• Experience in working with Docker and deployment and delivery of complex solutions within cloud services
• At least 3+ years of experience building SaaS products on AWS or comparable platform
• Good understanding of DevOps processes – CI/CD pipeline and related tools
• Familiarity with Angular framework. UX knowledge & experience is a plus but not required
• Respect for Computer Science fundamentals, design patterns, and development best practices
• Understanding of Agile Methodology and Principles is a plus
• Experience leading small teams is also an advantage
