Description du poste

Growing our Everyday Essentials business is a strategic priority for Amazon. EU Grocery is at the forefront of this mission, enabling customers to find the food and drink items they love at great prices and convenience.

We are looking for someone passionate about fast moving consumer goods to join our team as a Sr. Vendor Manager, and drive the growth of our Grocery business across the EU. Although Paris is preferred - this position can be based in any of the Amazon EU Retail locations - London, Manchester, Milan, Madrid, Munich.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiating to improve terms, solve problems, and oversee the day to day running of key accounts
  • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
  • Build a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
  • Work cross-functionally with counterparts across strategic supply chain management, marketing, finance, Ads, Amazon programs, and retail systems to operate and grow the business
  • Concisely represent your business to senior Amazon leaders through reporting, business reviews, financial planning sessions, and escalations
  • Continually improve and automate manual processes to enable you and your team to scale as the business grows

The EU Grocery team manages one of the fastest growing areas of EU Stores, and is front and centre of Amazon's investment into Everyday Essentials. You will be managing vendor relationships across Europe as part of the wider EU Grocery vendor management team. Vendor managers also take on SME roles that will give you exposure across stakeholders across the stores business, and with Amazon Fresh as we develop our Grocery proposition across channels.

Grocery is very much a non-playbook GL where you will have opportunities to challenge tenets and established ways of working as we build a business to compete in a unique and high profile market segment.

If you find the role intriguing, we encourage you to connect with the hiring manager and arrange a 'coffee chat.' This informal meeting provides an opportunity for you to express your interest, as well as gain deeper insights into the position.

Qualifications
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English. French, Italian or Spanish are nice to have.
  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with data analysis and P&L ownership
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or Management
  • Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Negotiations, analytical, vendor and/or project management experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and database work, with experience in SQL as a plus
