Overview
You will work on technically challenging and interesting tasks in the field of software for biometric systems (fingerprints, face recognition etc.). The work includes the complete test lifecycle of our software (e.g. device drivers, biometric libraries, middleware, interconnected systems, applications, mobile apps or server/cloud software) and embedded software/firmware running on our devices. There is a strong emphasis on automated testing to support software testing across multiple operating systems (especially Windows and Linux) and multiple device types. You will write tests and test scripts in Python (primary language), and optionally in C, C++ or C#.

Responsibilities
- Develop automated QA tests, test tools and test infrastructure to drive the quality of tested products
- Strongly contribute to the whole software test lifecycle – create test plans and specifications, implement and execute automated tests, evaluate code test coverage, maintain test methodologies, participate on the software release process
- Automated tests are primarily written in Python; some tests (e.g. concurrency and performance tests) and infrastructure may require C, C++ or C#. You will need to master at least Python and one of these additional languages
- Cooperate closely with software engineers on identifying, reproducing and resolving software problems
- Collaborate with other teams on system and interoperability testing
- While the emphasis is on QA automation, you may also execute manual test procedures when needed to reproduce problems
What we will love about your background
- Substantial experience in software testing, especially automated test development and the software test lifecycle. Note: GUI or Web test tools like Selenium or Robot Framework are welcome but not sufficient alone
- Knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing and Integration Testing
- Working programming skills in Python and at least one other language (C/C++/C#)
- Good working knowledge of Windows and Linux; ability to prepare and configure test environments and execute tests on these systems
- Working knowledge of bug/defect tracking, software code repositories, build systems (Jenkins) and test management systems (TestRail)
- A fast-learning, innovative and persistent person with wide interest in software testing and QA
- Ability to complete tasks independently, with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Precise, systematic and organized work style with attention to detail, reliability and dependability
Your Experience and Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
- Experience in software development: Minimum 4 years (MA) or 6 years (BA)
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards
- Working knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage
- Ability to prepare and configure test environments and execute tests on Android or iOS (optional but preferred)
- Experience with installing and administration of Windows or Linux (optional but preferred)
- Experience with using VMware or Docker (optional but preferred)
- Experience with using TestRail (optional but preferred)
- Experience with using Jenkins and its configuration including writing build scripts (Jenkinsfile) (optional but preferred)
- DevOps skills (optional but preferred)
- Knowledge of GUI or Web-based test tools/frameworks like Selenium or Robot Framework (optional but preferred)
