A global technology company is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to contribute to the design process of solutions across diverse markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SoC/ASIC design methodologies, experience in RTL design focused on low power consumption, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. Proficiency in System Verilog and a relevant educational background are required. This role offers hybrid working options in Valbonne, France.

Job Overview

In the Solutions Engineering team, we design and verify system based solutions for various application segments, using the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. We are looking for a creative and skilled colleague to join the team and help in the development process of these solutions. Would you love a wider exposure across multiple IP products? Responsibilities

As a hardware design engineer, you will be involved in the design process of solutions for different markets by developing Arm IP products with the target to reach maximum efficiency in terms of power consumption, performance and area while ensuring correct functional behavior. Your key responsibilities will include creating plans, defining the microarchitecture of the new features, developing system level RTL code using System Verilog in a low power context, running design checks, identifying and fixing bugs. Collaboration with functions such as architecture, verification, performance analysis, power analysis, implementation and various IP teams is essential as we work together on enabling our partners' success.

Required Skills and Experience
  • You graduated from a University or Engineering School, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, or other related
  • Thorough understanding of SoC / ASIC (or FGPA) design methodologies and techniques
  • Experience in micro architecture and RTL design using Verilog, System Verilog with a focus on low power design for complex SoCs / ASICs
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English
Nice To Have Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of UPF and experience in low power RTL development constraints is considered an asset
  • Experience of working with AMBA protocols like CHI/AXI/APB/AHB is an advantage
  • Basic scripting languages, e.g. Perl/TCL/Python
  • Knowledge of hardware verification techniques
