A European Union Agency in Strasbourg is seeking Security Guards to ensure the safety of staff and visitors. About the Agency

Our client, eu-LISA, is the European Union Agency responsible for operating large-scale IT systems that help keep Europe safe and support cooperation in areas like security, migration, and justice. Civitta, in cooperation with Talenta, provides temporary agency workers to eu-LISA.

We are looking for

Security Guards to support the Security Unit – Protective Security Sector. The positions are based in Strasbourg, France.

In this role, you will contribute to the protection of eu-LISA staff, visitors, and assets by ensuring secure access to the premises, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents and emergencies in a high-security international environment.

What will you do:
  • Ensure access control and identity verification for staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Monitor and operate electronic access control systems, CCTV, alarm, and fire safety systems.
  • Welcome, register, and manage visitors and contractors in line with security procedures.
  • Carry out patrols of premises and temporary locations to identify security or safety risks.
  • Screen parcels, mail, and individuals entering the premises.
  • Operate security equipment such as X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection devices.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and medical situations.
  • Support fire safety monitoring and building evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate incident, activity, and security reports.
  • Follow and enforce Agency Security Rules, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform any other security-related duties as assigned by eu-LISA.
What is required of your profile:
  • Post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or secondary education with appropriate professional experience, in line with Category II requirements.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a security or safety-related role, preferably in a high-security or international environment.
  • Experience operating physical security systems and monitoring equipment (access control, CCTV, alarms).
  • Professional certifications in areas such as security systems, access control, CCTV, fire safety, first aid, X-ray and metal detection equipment, or similar are an advantage.
  • Ability to carry defensive means and willingness to undergo related training and certification.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
  • Good command of English (A2 level) and French (B2 level).
  • Personnel Security Clearance at SECRET UE / EU SECRET level, or readiness to undergo the clearance procedure.
  • Ability to work shift-based schedules (minimum 20 hours per week, up to 35 hours per week) with core working hours during shifts between 07:00 and 20:00.
