A global engineering solutions provider is looking for a Regional Digital Technical Sales Specialist to drive digitalization across their service solutions. This role involves extensive travel in the EMEA region and requires a strong commercial mindset, as well as experience in automation and digital products. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and proven sales expertise in B2B environments, particularly in dairy and food processing.

  • Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Digital Technical Sales Specialist to support our ambitious Mission30 growth by driving the further digitalisation of our service solutions and offerings, both internally and towards our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of generating leads and acquiring new clients through digital and automation product channels. You bring experience in implementing and selling digital/automation service solutions, processes, and workflows that support value streams for customers, and you collaborate closely with local Sales Teams across the EMEA region. A deep understanding of industrial processes and engineering environments is essential for this role.
  • Location: This role can be based anywhere across the EMEA Region, with preferred GEA office locations UK/Ireland – Warrington / Naas, Netherlands – Deventer, France - Montigny-Le-Bretonneux, Middle East – Dubai, Africa – Johannesburg. The role will involve extensive travel across EMEA and will be an office-based position, when not travelling.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Build & qualify pipeline: Partner with Frontline Sales to identify and qualify leads, dive into customer requirements, and shape tailored sales strategies informed by market intelligence.
  • Market & installed-base planning: Analyse the regional installed base, segment customers, and develop regional business plans; maintain territory plans and run regular status reviews and reports to stakeholders.
  • Solutioning & proposals: Define scopes/architectures and pricing; develop comprehensive, compliant proposals addressing technical, commercial, and legal aspects.
  • Deal execution: Support bid clarifications and contract negotiations to ensure a smooth and successful close.
  • Pilots & co-development: Work with GEA Digital Units and Center of Competencies to identify pilot customers, lead co-development projects, and scale proven solutions.
  • Customer engagement: Plan and deliver site visits, presentations, and demos; present solutions to customers and status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Product expertise & enablement: Act as the regional LPT Digital Products Sales Specialist; champion digitisation via the GEA Academy; participate in Center of Competencies (Competence Centre) training and serve as a regional trainer for local Service Sales organisations.
  • Strategic relationship leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor and foster long-term relationships with a strong customer-centric, growth-mindset approach.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: Align with Center of Competencies, Product Management, Regional Service Heads, and Project Sales and Service teams to ensure process knowledge and customer access.
  • Please note: What you will need to succeed includes a strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of lead generation, an analytical mindset for regional planning and market potential, hands-on experience with digital/automation service solutions, deep understanding of industrial processes, a collaborative mindset, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Your Profile / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation/electrical/mechanical/Chemical/food engineering
