A technology startup is seeking an R&D Computer Vision Engineer intern to contribute to deep learning algorithms for damage detection on vehicles. The role involves keeping up with advancements in computer vision and implementing new algorithms. Candidates should have a strong background in mathematics, Python, and deep learning with a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering. The position is hybrid, based in Paris, with a salary of €1550 monthly.
The Opportunity: Monk provides visual expertise through Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms. Our AI is able to detect and classify damage on any vehicle, with photos taken by a smartphone. The company is already working with international leading players, such as our parent company ACV Auctions (USA), but also CAT logistics (Europe), Getaround (France), Autobiz (Europe) or Hgreg (Canada). We are building a word-class API-based damage detection system.
We are looking for a great R&D engineer with some experience in computer vision. The successful applicant will contribute to the performance of deep learning algorithms for damage detection on cars. Possible topics include active learning for instance segmentation, 3D car reconstruction from images and car-specific visual encoders learned with self-supervised learning.
