Location: Chartres, France
Full-time

We’re looking for a Production Manager to join our team in Chartres, reporting directly to the Plant Director. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, leading teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring we deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on time.

Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the entire production process, ensuring alignment with schedules and cost targets.
  • Lead and develop the production workforce (direct and indirect), managing skills, training, and performance in collaboration with HR.
  • Organize and allocate production resources effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor production KPIs and adjust schedules to maintain optimal flow.
  • Ensure quality standards and safety protocols are rigorously applied.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments like HSE, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and HR to meet plant goals.
  • Champion World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives, leading either the Autonomous Management (AM) or Workplace Organization (WO) pillar.
  • Supervise routine maintenance and repairs carried out by production teams.
  • Inspire, motivate, and empower your teams to achieve excellence every day.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership in people management, coaching, and team development.
  • Hands-on experience with production tools: daily meetings, reporting, problem-solving, skill matrix, 5S, autonomous maintenance, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Safety & Environmental standards in production.
  • Familiarity with cost and performance accounting basics.
  • Exposure to WCM or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of core processes such as metal stamping, welding, enameling, painting, polyurethane injection, assembly, and automation.
  • Understanding of Time & Method studies.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making skills, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential.
