We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated remote Junior Graphic Designer to join our client’s growing Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating marketing objectives into high-impact visual narratives across both print and digital platforms.
As a remote team member, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our client’s brand’s visual identity while collaborating closely with their marketing department to elevate their creative output. The ideal candidate has a sophisticated aesthetic sense, a deep understanding of design principles, and the technical proficiency to execute complex projects from concept to completion.
This is a full-time, contractual, freelancer position for a trial period of 3 months while working at home. SCOPE OF WORK
- Multichannel Content Creation: Design and produce a wide range of materials, including social media assets, email templates, website graphics, print signage, menus, and promotional collateral.
- Project Management: Prioritize and manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications, maintain high quality, and are submitted on or before deadlines.
- Brand Stewardship: Act as a guardian of the brand by strictly adhering to established branding and marketing guidelines, ensuring consistency in typography, color palette, and voice across all touchpoints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner and collaborate with the Marketing team (and other cross-functional teams) to brainstorm concepts, iterate on designs based on feedback, and continuously improve internal creative processes.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital library of all creative assets, ensuring files are properly versioned, archived, and easily accessible for internal use.
- Technical Skills: Utilize design software (Adobe Creative Suite) to produce final assets, prepare print-ready files, and potentially manage content via CMS.
- Innovation: Stay current with design trends, tools, and market insights to keep designs fresh and competitive.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or an equivalent
- At least 1-3 years of proven experience as a professional Graphic Designer or Creative professional
- Experience in the restaurant, food, or hospitality industry is considered a significant advantage.
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically:
- Photoshop: Advanced photo manipulation, retouching, and compositing.
- Illustrator: Vector-based illustration, logo design, and typography.
- InDesign: Complex layout design for print and digital publications.
- Design Versatility: A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both print and digital conceptualization. You should understand the nuances of CMYK/Pantone vs. RGB and web-safe design.
- Exceptional English oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage changing priorities effectively.
- Strong commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interface well at all levels.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to submit a professional Creative Portfolio
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the restaurant or food industry is considered a significant advantage.
- Experience as a Freelancer or servicing US clients is a big plus.
- Knowledge using and having strong prompting skills with Creative AI tools is a big plus.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REMOTE WORK
- Eligible to work as a remote freelancer legally or as a contractor based in the Philippines
- Has own computer or laptop capable of handling the rigorous demands of image and video processing and rendering.
- Has a fast and reliable internet connection at home (at least 200-300 MBPS)
- Has a quiet and distraction free work environment at home.
- Willing to work in graveyard shifts or changing shift US schedules.
- COMPENSATION:$7 to $9 USD Per hour
- CONTRACT:This is a 3-month long freelancing trial contract (full-time) that can be done remotely at home with a computer and a fast and reliable internet connection. There are no benefits for Freelancers during the evaluation period.
- POSSIBLE RENEWAL:However, if the Client decides to renew the contract there may be certain benefits such as paid sick leaves, paid vacation leaves, HMO health insurance and 13th month pay. These are not guaranteed and everything will depend on performance and client discretion.
- REPORTING TO:Although you will be reporting directly to the designated manager from our client, you will also be reporting to and will be supervised by Big Ideas Social Media Inc, who is the consultant and service provider (Agency) of the US business. Big Ideas will be the ones to provide your compensation and other HR and administrative needs locally.
- LEGAL STATUS:You will be classified as “Self-Employed” when it concerns legality and taxation. You will not be considered an employee of our Client or Big Ideas Philippines but instead, you will be a self-employed freelance professional and will be liable for declaring your own income with the BIR and taxes.
