A global leader in mobility solutions is seeking an IT Services Global Buyer to manage purchasing strategies, conduct market analysis, and oversee supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in IT purchasing with a strong engineering background. The role is based in Levallois-Perret, offering 2 days of remote work weekly and a focus on diversity and equality.

Reporting directly to the Global Indirect Purchasing Manager - IT Services

The Global CommodityBuyer - IT Services is in charge of the purchasing strategies for his supplier’s range, identifying the market opportunities (economical, technological and geographical), managing his suppliers list & the cost reduction programs.

• Is responsible for the sourcing process according to the plant & project needs in observation of the deontology rules and in the objectives set in terms of quality, cost and delivery
• Is in charge of the “order to pay” process verifies that the spent authorization rules are respected set up the necessary orders and contracts and tracks the conditions of application. Ensures that the suppliers are paid in the term negotiated.
• Manages if necessary, any crisis with the supplier.Productivity, supply base management, debt management, right first-time invoicing, sourcing in compliance with target
• With the following perimeter: Services (contractors, consulting, AMS, outsourcing)

Main responsibilities include:

• Proposes the commodity strategy and manages the supply base accordingly
• His/her responsible for his market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation...)
• Manages the suppliers’ relationships according to PO purchasing policy
• Follows and reports the supplier’s performance
• Leads the suppliers sourcing process in the respect of the procedures
• Leads negotiation with the suppliers and internal customers
• He/she is in charge of contractualization with suppliers
• Is responsible for his commodity in terms of Q, C, T
• Promotes the technical savings proposed by the suppliers
• Takes part or leads internal working groups for technical savings identification or problem solving
• Leads each time necessary the problem-solving process
• He’s responsible for the risk management of his commodity (financial health of suppliers, M&A, dependence ratio…)
• Commits & manages his portfolio in line with budget
• He/she is committed to the respect of legal & environmental rules applicable on its markets

Required profile:

• At least 5 years in an IT purchasing department
• Mechanical or Plastic Engineering Degree or business background with specialty in purchasing management.
• Depending of the commodity a previous experience as a commodity buyer could be required in an IS/IT & international environment
