This is part of the laboratory's overall project to study cell proliferation and migration when space is limited, in particular how physical constraints affect the cell cortex, nuclear envelope, cell growth and cell division. In this position, the researcher will also be responsible for coordinating a group of 3 to 4 people on one of the project's areas of focus, which aims to describe cell nucleus deformations in different experimental contexts (Task 1.2, Task 2.2 and Task 4.1 of the project).

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating a sub-group of the team on a set of project tasks, Task 1.2, Task 2.2 and Task 4.1.
  • Conducting independent research on the chosen topic,

  • Presenting results to the scientific community inside and outside the Curie Institute,
  • Writing and publishing articles,
  • Participating in conferences,
  • Supervising the writing of reports and articles by supervised students,
  • Supervising and training interns and PhD students.
  • Cross‑functional tasks: participate in the day‑to‑day activities of the laboratory and the SHAPINCELLFATE project, alongside the project's scientific partners: the teams led by Dr Ana‑Maria Lennon Duménil, Dr Raphael Voituriez and Dr Giorgio Scita.
  • Participate in scientific exchanges, practical organisation and the sharing of knowledge and technical expertise with other members of the laboratory and project collaborators.
  • Regularly update your knowledge related to the project by reading relevant literature and attending seminars and conferences.
  • Participate in team responsibilities: training new staff in confocal microscopy and being responsible for the confocal microscope (maintenance).
