An international association for chromium development is seeking an event coordinator to manage major conferences and social functions. The role requires experience in event organisation and a strong command of English. Responsibilities include sourcing venues, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing logistics for successful events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design software is preferred. This is a full-time role based in Paris, France.
In view of the increasing number of events being organised by our association, and the growing demand from our members and the industry for conferences, workshops and seminars, including innovative formats and events focused on specific subjects or regions, we are looking to recruit an event coordinator who could take on a more senior role in event organisation. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Executive Assistant and under the direct authority of the Executive Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event planning for ICDA’s major conferences and social functions. This includes sourcing and benchmarking venues, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing logistics to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery. The position supports promotional activities, partnership building, and the use of event technology to boost visibility and registration performance. It also assists with administrative tasks related to participant management and speaker materials, contributing to the smooth and successful execution of ICDA events.

The successful candidate will be expected to be proactive and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced international environment. The role requires the organisation of events, including several conferences and events on an annual basis. The person will be responsible for providing support to the team and collaborating with the Executive Assistant in the organisation of these events, which represent a core service provided by our organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English. Experience in event organisation roles is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a prerequisite for the role.
Proficiency in graphic design software and proficiency in new communications support is viewed as a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
