Overview
Dewberry is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager for our Parsippany, NJ office. This role supports environmental remediation projects, including developing long-range remedial solutions and strategies to reduce environmental risk. Projects are primarily located in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, with support to other Dewberry offices in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Site/remedial investigation, remedial project design, and implementation of remedial actions pursuant to regulatory agency and/or company direction.
- Perform and coordinate field inspection, soil/groundwater sampling, and related technical work.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of work; manage scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Interact with clients in the field, at meetings, and on conference calls.
- Develop strategic direction for remediation and environmental-related projects and/or litigation support.
- Negotiate with regulatory agencies and manage compliance with applicable orders, agency directives, and permits.
- Assign tasks to engineers, scientists, technicians, or administrative staff; assist with proposals; manage budgets; meet project, client, and regulatory deadlines.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- BS in Environmental Engineering or related field
- Seven to ten years of experience
- OSHA 40-hour certification with a current 8-hour annual refresher
- Working knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP and/or PADEP requirements is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to compose technical reports and correspondence
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; field sampling and contractor oversight in NJ, NY, and PA
- Proficiency with basic MS Office software
- Valid driver's license; driving is a requirement and a clean driving record is required
