Overview

Electrical Source Inspector

Location: France - various locations

Hours: Approximately 1 day per week

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Pay rate: €55 per hour

IPC Certified Electrical source inspector needed in France, covering Western Europe and the Nordics. This contract is for an Independent Contract / Freelance Worker. It is suitable for someone already resident in France with the necessary work visas (if applicable).

We are hiring a highly skilled Electrical Source Inspector with IPC expertise to support the inspection of electronic assemblies, harnesses, and circuit board products for aerospace and defence customers.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), harnesses, and wiring according to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, etc.).
  • Verify workmanship, soldering, and assembly against aerospace and defence requirements.
  • Review supplier quality records and certify product conformity before shipment.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are tracked.
  • Provide technical support to suppliers to help resolve recurring issues.
  • Deliver timely inspection reports and maintain traceable records.
Qualifications
  • Have a minimum of 7 years quality and/or engineering expertise in the aerospace and defence industries.
  • Proven background in mechanical inspection for aerospace, defence, or similar critical industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools (CMM, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Experience in welding inspection, ideally holding CWI certification.
  • Familiarity with NADCAP processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
