Domain Advisor

Our Domain Advisor is the domain/industry go-to expert on Supply Chain Planning, owning the go-to-market strategy and execution for specific industries based on deep knowledge of the Supply Chain domain, relevant industry trends, and the competitive landscape. The Domain Advisor focuses on strategic pursuits and develops best practice assets, processes, demand initiatives, and sales plays. They are primarily responsible for pipeline growth, market development, strategic pursuits, and ensuring cross-functional alignment with SAP teams and partners.

Accountability

  • Responsible for growth in the Supply Chain Planning domain
  • Develops sales strategies for strategic pursuits
  • Coaches sales teams
  • Oversees creation of best practice assets (POV, demos, discovery processes, etc.)
  • Ensures delivery of assets across cross-functional teams
  • Achieves business-critical and innovative results
  • Manages goals, milestones, and budgets
  • Handles escalations appropriately
  • Builds strategic partnerships with key decision-makers in customer and partner organizations

Complexity

  • Takes ownership of the growth of the Supply Chain Planning domain within a matrix organization
  • Oversees complex, strategically important pursuits
  • Owns executive client relationships

Experience

  • Significant professional experience in Supply Chain Planning or related industry
  • Executive presence in commercial organizations
  • Management consulting and value-based selling experience

Communication

  • Represents SAP to customers
  • Finds common ground within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams
  • Develops clear GTM plans for growth
  • Communicates messages relevant to growth strategies
  • Captures stakeholder opinions and expectations and acts accordingly

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

The Domain Advisor Expert possesses in-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain Planning domain and industry, serving as a trusted advisor for buying centers and CSCO/COO. They take ownership during the 'awareness and (re)consider' phases of the customer lifecycle, focusing on demand generation, pipeline development, and strategic pursuits, increasing SAP's leadership position.

Tasks:

  • Provide standardized approaches for value-based sales activities for focus solutions/LOB
  • Support rollout of new training, conduct in-class training, and contribute to e-learning content
  • Coach and mentor internal teams on products and solutions
  • Engage with customers on strategic pursuits
  • Note: Candidates must be based in France and not require relocation
