Role

Data Engineer

Join our agile team working on a data aggregation and reporting solution that plays a key part in Thales’s supplier billing process. You’ll be at the intersection of technology and business, helping to develop, maintain, and support a system built on the Azure stack that integrates data from various business tools, delivering actionable insights through Power BI.

This is an opportunity to work end-to-end: from ingesting data files sent by our clients to producing business-critical reports, all within an Agile (Scrum) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) framework.

Key activities

Support:

• Exploiting and maintaining Azure infrastructure
• Checking and troubleshooting SSIS/SQL jobs
• Applying standard fixes and collaborating with the Product Owner to resolve new issues

Build:

• Designing and developing new functionalities to onboard additional customers
• Operational and security maintenance
• Contributing to technical, documentation, and security debt reduction

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Applying SRE best practices to maximize automation and reliability
• Participating in Scrum ceremonies, including rotating scrum master responsibilities (e.g., producing indicators, leading ceremonies)

About you

Your skills:

• Hands-on experience with SQL, SSIS, and DAX (Power BI)
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure
• Scripting (VB, C#), and comfortable on both Windows & Linux

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Jira, Service Now, Confluence, Squash
• Ansible experience
• Basic knowledge of APIs

• Ability to accurately estimate and deliver your tasks
• Open and proactive when providing feedback or clarifying requirements
• Focused on automation and efficient operational support (SRE approach)
