This position is in Cargills agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain partnering with farmers and customers to source make and deliver essential products.

What we offer

You will also broaden your understanding of local supply and demand factors that impact markets and commercial decisions to generate revenue. As well as initiate and negotiate on terms of commodity purchase and collaborate with our supply chain and plant operations teams to timely fulfill commodity contracts for our customers.

Main tasks and accountabilities

Purchase sell and deliver commodities to meet production needs. Provide market analysis and pricing support particularly for vegetable oils in Europe.

Monitor and review daily cash futures and Forex positions.

Collaborate with transportation and logistics quality assurance customer managers and credit managers to ensure seamless execution of operations.

Generate market position and profit and loss reports based on data and specialty reports gathered by junior team members.

Work directly with customers suppliers and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs.

Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Other duties as assigned.

What we look for

Required qualifications

Bachelor or Masters degree in business studies : Business Administration Economics Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Engineering Finance or related

Up to two years of professional experience (including Internship experience)

Fluency in English and French

Preferred qualifications

Natural leadership ability interpersonal communication and selling skills

Ability to partner and work in a multi-cultural and multi-functional teams

General understanding and strong interest in geo-political dynamics and trends

Self-starter; highly motivated and able to work independently. Willingness to take ownership and initiative

Curiosity to learn and create new way of building and improving systems and processes

Strong data and analytical skills ability to proactively identify and resolve problems

Flexibility; able to cope with fast changes within a growing company

Selection process

The selection process is a discovery for both of us and starts with an introductory self-recorded or live video interview with a recruiter. Followed by a video or in-person meeting with the team. The finalists will be invited to complete an online assessment and have an interview with the hiring manager. A business case study may be introduced as part of the process.
