Business Development Executive – Art Logistics

Convelio is a licensed freight forwarding startup evolving at the intersection of Tech, Logistics and the Art World. The startup specialises in the global shipping & storage of high‑end goods: paintings, sculptures, basically any valuable or bulky merchandise, alongside market‑leading SaaS technology to solve the problems that Registrars and Art Operations professionals face today. Our mission is to become a tech‑driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping & storage of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience. We currently serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.

Your Role

We are looking for a high‑energy, results‑driven, and team‑oriented Business Development Executive, eager to grow at the intersection of art, logistics, and technology. You will be responsible for driving growth by owning the full client lifecycle with art & design galleries – engaging some of the most prestigious names in the art world. From identifying and engaging new prospects, to converting them into active clients, and ensuring long‑term satisfaction and retention, you will manage your own pipeline end‑to‑end, balancing acquisition and retention. By combining proactive business generation with attentive account management, you will play a key role in expanding our client base and strengthening existing partnerships. The role is based at our new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Le Bourget, with weekly client visits in the heart of Paris.

What you’ll do
  • Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from acquisition to retention, leveraging our established prospect lists and Salesforce CRM to maximise impact.
  • Design and drive impactful outbound campaigns across your pipeline, supported by sales & marketing tools provided.
  • Engage your pipeline (visits, calls, emailing campaigns, fairs attendance, etc.).
  • Educate your pipeline towards our services and convert opportunities to increase portfolio revenue.
  • Document client insights in our CRM and report relevant information to the EU Sales Manager.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by deeply understanding client operational needs and challenges.
  • Pitch and convert clients on Convelio’s three core services: Shipping, Storage, and IMS (Inventory Management Software).
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address issues proactively to ensure long‑term retention.
  • Work closely with Operations to continuously improve client experience and performance within your pipeline.
Your profile
  • Hands‑on expertise in logistics operations, from air and sea freight (courier, cargo, container) to storage solutions and inventory management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • A growth mindset, with strong analytical skills.
  • Bonus: demonstrated track record of successfully generating new business (hunting) and growing existing accounts (farming).
