SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) and the Finance & Accounting Insights on Risk and Regulation (FAIRR) research center invite applications for an assistant professor position in accounting to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will develop academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field's highest quality journals. We encourage applications from scholars with a focus on research in financial accounting. The school offers a vibrant research environment with strong established groups, including in the finance and accounting area, and is seeking to reinforce existing expertise. The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. The successful candidate will be part of the FAIRR Research Center, which is dedicated to producing high quality academic research in Finance and Accounting. The research center comprises about 25 faculty members in finance and accounting and PhD students. FAIRR members are particularly focused on developing high-level expertise in the areas of digital finance, entrepreneurial finance, governance, intermediaries, corporate restructuring, disclosure, financial regulation and household finance alongside other corporate finance, market finance and accounting topics.
We organize regular research seminars on the three French campuses, host international workshops and conferences and run a PhD program with a dedicated Finance & Accounting track. Our researchers have access to a wide range of databases, including WRDS (CRSP, Compustat, WorldScope, ISS, IBES...), DealScan, SDC, Datastream etc.
Our members have presented their papers at academic and professional conferences and international institutions.
