Position overview

Outsight is seeking an exceptional Algorithm Engineer to join our innovative team. You will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing state-of-the-art algorithms to ensure real-time performance for our data processing applications.

You will work on one or several core algorithms:

• Clustering of 3D point clouds (split, merge, ...)
• Classification of 3D point clouds
• Semantic perception and point-wise 3D segmentation (ground detection, ...)

Responsibilities

Your mission is to design and develop new modules used in core functions to improve system performance, following these steps:

• Analyze the problem to solve and perform literature review
• Design and propose new modules or improvements to existing modules
• Create an evaluation database to ensure module quality
• Develop and integrate modules into our C++ software
• Software testing (unit testing, performance characterization, system testing) and documentation

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: Master’s in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience: +2 years as Algorithm Engineer or in a similar role with a history of successful algorithm development
• Programming skills: Proficiency in C++ with the ability to write clean and efficient code
• Domain knowledge: Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and data processing with practical application
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset for real-world algorithm design
• Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
• Independence: Ability to work independently and take ownership while being a collaborative team player
• Language skills: English fluent required; French is a valuable asset
