Job title of the line manager : Team Leader Job title of the functional manager (if any) : Responsibilities : To produce a component or assembly of components from a drawing, manufacturing sequence or instruction sheet. To comply fully with all standards, special procedures, safety rules and company regulations.

Scope of Activities

To carry out some or all of the following activities :
  • Follow the production sequence shown in drawings and procedures
  • Prepare the working area and apply all current safety rules
  • Check the part numbers of components, fasteners, sealants, paint and items for assembly before use
  • Ensure the use and prior checking of equipment appropriate to the assembly or adjustment operation concerned (choice of cutting tools, fastener tools, etc.)
  • Ensure that components are properly positioned and located relative to each other
  • Use tracing techniques where necessary
  • Carry out the drilling, tapping and milling operations required for component assembly
  • Assemble single or multi-material stacks
  • Assemble components or items
  • Install fasteners and ensure that components are properly fastened together
  • Ensure traceability of the finished work and associated tooling
  • Check your own work on completion of several major process phases
  • Apply sealant in accordance with aircraft manufacturing procedures
  • Refer operational problems to the support functions or line management
  • Guarantee the quality of product fitting, assembly and protection operations
  • Keep your workstation clean and tidy
  • Apply the FOD rules
  • Apply the rules governing removed components, scrapped components, etc.

The activities are to be adapted for employees on work / study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.
