AESC is currently seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team for a significant Engineering-Procurement-Construction project. This project involves the construction of large-scale production lines that have never been built before, with the goal of achieving cell production volume at an unprecedented scale. Our work environment is fast-paced and highly exhilarating.

As part of the GID Purchasing Team, you will play a crucial role in procuring the necessary equipment and materials for the projects in the EU and the UK, with a current focus on the French project in Douai. We value candidates eager to tackle difficult problems, push the limits of what is possible, and prioritize team success beyond personal achievements. Additionally, we require an unwavering positive attitude towards sustained hard work.

Responsibilities:
  1. Establish procurement strategy for related construction services, engineering, and materials based on the project's construction plan in reverse order.
  2. Stay up to date with the latest market trends and continuously source the best products and services at the most reasonable prices.
  3. Create and execute the procurement strategy.
  4. Organize bidding and tendering, vendor bidding, and nomination.
  5. Manage vendor contracts and track vendor payments.
  6. Renegotiate business plans based on project adjustments.
  7. Use SAP to manage PO/PR requirements based on the outputs of the above.
  8. Proactively seek cost-saving solutions to enable company industrial development.
  9. Partner with suppliers and vendors globally and identify strategies to scale second product development.
  10. Coordinate and support global plant launch equipment and global direct material-related project issues.
Requirements:
  1. Master’s degree in Engineering.
  2. Graduate studies in project management, business, and procurement qualifications are valued.
  3. More than 8 years of experience in purchasing within MEP, Construction, or Facilities sectors, particularly in large industrial construction projects ($100m+ capex).
  4. Additional experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.
  5. Experience in high-tech, construction, and/or automotive industries.
  6. Skills in Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity Analyses, and Contract Negotiations.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with presentation skills.
  8. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
  9. Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization under challenging timelines and goals.
  10. An inquisitive and open attitude towards exploring new ideas and continuous learning.
  11. Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution.
  12. Driver’s license.
