Job Description

Environment

Based at Renault Group Procurement, in the central teams at the Technocentre in Guyancourt, the candidate will report to the Materials Purchasing Department. Join Renault Group Procurement and contribute to the Renaulution.

The role involves sourcing technical and/or recycled plastics within the Materials Purchasing Department of Renault Group, managing a budget of €85 million. You will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies for plastic parts, focusing on innovative and recyclable materials, supporting Renault's strategic goals and compliance with environmental regulations. This position is newly created and based in Guyancourt (France), offering a CDI contract with 2 days of remote work per week.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement sourcing strategies for technical plastics such as PP, PA, ABS, PC/PBT, PMMA, including recyclable innovations.
  • Develop and manage supplier panels to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability performance.
  • Conduct international sourcing, collaborating with key production zones (Europe, Turkey, Romania, Morocco).
  • Negotiate costs and contractual terms with suppliers and customers.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and logistics teams to optimize performance.
  • Monitor market trends, material innovations, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in resolving incidents related to payments and supply chain issues.
  • Contribute to cost improvements through technical and sourcing optimizations.
  • Serve as a purchasing reference for vehicle projects related to plastic materials sourcing strategies.
Candidate Profile
  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent, with specialization in purchasing, materials, chemistry, or polymers.
  • At least 6 years of experience in automotive plastics, including purchasing, sales, or product development.
  • Strong negotiation skills, costing tools knowledge, and market understanding.
  • Good grasp of plastics cost structure and value chain.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions.
  • Autonomous, rigorous, analytical, proactive.
  • Professional fluency in English.
