Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero.

This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, Spain, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

• Translate technical specifications into functional solutions through detailed functional analysis.
• Ensure design robustness by conducting stack-up tolerance studies and applying functional GD&T principles.
• Develop 3D design proposals that align with project requirements and engineering standards.
• Create and validate internal drawings, and review and approve supplier drawings for compliance and accuracy.
• Analyze and validate supplier proposals, considering assembly constraints and fitability requirements.
• Guarantee project quality and timelines, while leveraging internal standards and "Horse Rules" know-how to optimize design efficiency.

• A proven track record in design activities, especially in functional analysis and robust design using GD&T and tolerance stack-up studies.
• A minimum education level of Certificate of Higher Education (FPII); a Bachelor’s or Degree in Design Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Excellent skills in CATIA (Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Sheet Metal, Assembly Design) and ISO GD&T application.
• Strong competencies in… design of assemblies and sub-assemblies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA), with a collaborative approach.
• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French is valued but not mandatory.
