PR Specialist (Traditional + Digital PR) - Remote
Company: LinkFi — Digital PR Agency (UK)
Location: Remote within the EU (working primarily CET/CEST hours)
Engagement: Independent Contractor (full-time hours)
Seniority: Mid–Senior
Hours: Standard EU business hours (8–5 or 9–6); occasional after-hours responsiveness for US media
What You’ll Do
- Client Strategy
- Run strategy calls to define quarterly narratives, angles, and campaign roadmaps.
- Translate business goals into compelling editorial hooks and campaign briefs.
- Traditional PR Delivery
- Build targeted media lists (US & UK) and own outreach from pitch to placement.
- Secure coverage: op-eds, guest articles, interviews, podcast bookings, executive commentary.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key journalists and editors.
- Reactive PR / Expert Commentary
- Monitor journalist queries and write on-brand, high-quality quotes fast.
- Coordinate interviews and rapid responses (including occasional after-hours for US time zones).
- Digital PR & Links
- Ideate and execute newsworthy digital PR campaigns (trends, data stories, seasonal/event-based).
- Collaborate with our SEO team to ensure campaigns drive both coverage and links.
- Reporting & Enablement
- Track KPIs (placements, DA/DR, SOV, backlinks, referral traffic).
- Maintain clean pipelines and weekly status updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3–6+ years in PR roles with a portfolio spanning traditional PR and digital PR outcomes.
- Demonstrable wins in US and UK media (show us your best placements).
- Excellent English (C2) writing/editing; confident with op-ed development and interview prep.
- Strong pitching craft, angle development, and journalist relationship skills.
- Experience with PR & research tools (e.g., Muck Rack/Roxhill, Cision, BuzzSumo, Google Trends, Ahrefs/Similarweb, G-Suite, Airtable/Sheets).
- Comfortable responding quickly to high-value media opportunities and coordinating cross-time-zone logistics.
- Organized, KPI-driven, and proactive; you manage multiple campaigns without dropping balls.
Bonus Points
- Existing journalist relationships in relevant US/UK beats.
- Experience placing executive op-eds and long-form thought leadership.
- Familiarity with data-led storytelling and light analysis (surveys, desk research).
- Podcast booking experience (host matching, prep, and post-promo).
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and link quality signals.
