As we scale, we need to build experiences for business customers to move their planned spend on a recurring basis to Amazon Business. Enterprise customers want to leverage AB to access millions of products, business-only selection, free two-day shipping, business pricing, multi-user business accounts, approval workflow, business payment solutions, tax exemptions, dedicated business customer support and much more. Business customers require a seamless experience that cuts across planning, negotiating, order placement, responsive adjustments to schedules and reconciliation.

The next step in scaling Amazon Business is driving growth through customer acquisition. Our customer Registration and Verification solutions are critical to bring more accounts to Amazon Business in a way that will delight our new customers.

You will build new services and experiences and be working with new technologies that improve usability and increase performance and scalability. You will also work with a wide range of teams across Amazon.

• Own the complete software development lifecycle from conception to production, including requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions utilizing both front-end and back-end technologies, starting with broadly defined problems.
• Drive architectural improvements and technical debt reduction while maintaining focus on customer experience and business outcomes.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
• Mentor more junior team members in their career growth.

You participate in daily sync meetings to share progress with the team and attend weekly reviews of your services' operational metrics. Working closely with Product Managers and UX designers, you help refine requirements for upcoming features and translate them into technical solutions. Your day involves creating detailed technical designs, presenting them to the team for feedback, and implementing robust solutions. You deploy infrastructure in AWS, code back-end logic in Java, and front-end logic using the React framework. After deployment to production, you partner with QA engineers to ensure high quality through comprehensive testing. You regularly analyze customer impact data with Product Managers, using these insights to iterate and improve your solutions. Throughout this process, you leverage dashboards to monitor performance and maintain operational excellence.

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
