We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join a long-term, impactful position within a leading multinational group in the aviation and travel industry.

In this role, you will lead the development of an Engineering Metrics Platform on AWS, integrating tools like GitHub and SonarCloud, while driving DevSecOps, automation, and collaborating with AI and engineering teams to enhance productivity, quality, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build technical solutions across all layers (UI, backend, databases) with AWS as the primary infrastructure.
• Develop API integrations and automation for engineering tools (GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Snyk, SonarCloud).
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, enable DevSecOps practices, and drive secure, automated deployments.
• Translate business requirements into scalable software designs and ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI teams, and stakeholders to promote best practices, engineering standards, and reusable assets.
• Contribute to engineering documentation, onboarding guides, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining complex cloud-based software solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (essential); Azure (preferred).
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, and Snyk.
• Familiarity with PowerBI or willingness to learn.
• Strong understanding of SaaS infrastructure and “Everything as Code” principles.
• Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of aligning technical efforts with business goals.
• Agile/DevSecOps environment experience, including CI/CD and automated testing.
