Una universidad internacional está buscando un Director Asociado para liderar la investigación sobre Fondos Soberanos, gestionando proyectos clave y colaboraciones con organismos globales. Se requiere experiencia en la coordinación de proyectos, fluidez en inglés, y preferentemente en español, así como un dominio analítico fuerte. Esta posición ofrece la oportunidad de influir en la investigación y el impacto en el medio ambiente cambiante en el ámbito de los fondos soberanos.

Formación

  • Experiencia mínima de 3 años en gestión de proyectos.
  • Fluidez en inglés y, idealmente, en español.
  • Conocimiento de fondos soberanos es un plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Gestionar la entrega y la implementación diaria del proyecto de investigación.
  • Coordinar eventos y presentaciones, tanto en línea como presenciales.

The Center for the Government of Change

The Center for the Governance of Change (CGC) is an applied-research, educational institution based at IE University that studies the political, economic, and societal implications of the current technological revolution and advances solutions to overcome its unwanted effects.

The CGC produces pioneering impact-oriented research that cuts across disciplines and methodologies to unveil the complexity of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain, and Robotics, and explore its potential threats and contributions to society.

Moreover, the CGC also runs several executive programs on emerging tech for public institutions and companies interested in expanding their understanding of disruptive trends, and a series of outreach activities aimed at improving the general public’s awareness and agency over the coming changes. The position

The Associate Director for Sovereign Wealth Research will be responsible for the delivery and day-to-day management of the Sovereign Wealth Research (SWR) Project led by the Center of the Government of Change and, in particular, the development of the SWF SDG Impact Initiative. The incumbent will report to the Director of the Sovereign Wealth Research, who reports to the Director of the CGC. He/she will manage consultants, fellows and interns, who may be assigned to specific activities, and will interact with other staff members, faculty, students, and external entities. The post will be located at the IE Tower in Madrid.

Responsibilities

Key Action Areas

  • Support the design and coordination of the SWR project in partnership with the United Nations and the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds, and the Government of Spain (DGPOLDES) on SDG Impact Investing.
  • Manage and/or monitor the day-to-day implementation of the project and ensure its successful delivery.
  • Interact with potential and current partners, build trust, assess needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Coordinate the design of the SDG Project Investment Vehicle.
  • Lead a data construction project, building up a dataset of SWF deals using available sources, including Bloomberg, Crunchbase and PitchBook, and identifying secondary sources of data from social media and specialized press.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and coach students involved in research analysis and assistance at the SWR.
  • Provide support for online and face-to-face presentations of the SWR members, and occasional media engagements.
  • Coordinate event management (invitations, design, scheduling) in Madrid and other locations.
  • Support internal and external communications, as well as resource mobilization initiatives.
  • Support in reporting and auditing processes (travelling, budgets, invoices, annual reporting).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Carry out other related functions.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, ideally from a top-ranked university.
  • Fluency (written & oral) in English and ideally in Spanish. Other languages (Chinese, Arabic, Hindi) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Proven experience in project coordination/management.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in sovereign wealth funds (SWF) is a strong plus.
  • Experience in consultancy firms, multilateral organizations, investment banks is a plus.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm, team spirit and strong willingness to have an impact.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit.
