A global automotive supplier is offering a 12-month internship as a Transport & Logistic Buyer Trainee in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Spain. The scholarship includes enrollment in a Master’s program in Permanent Training in Productivity, Adaptive Management, and Innovation (Nebrija University) paid by the company

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

Are you passionate about the world of logistics and transport? Do you want to get experience in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment? Join our team at FORVIA! We are looking for an intern to support the Transport and Logistics Purchasing department.

Responsibilities
  • Support in supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Cost analysis and identification of savings opportunities.
  • Coordination of shipments and order tracking.
  • Collaboration in the improvement of logistics processes.
  • Preparation of reports and presentation of results.

Tasks to be Performed : The intern will work together with the buyer team on the following tasks :

  • Structure and define the Transport and Logistics Panel.
  • Define the purchasing strategy by taxonomy.
  • Contribute to the implementation of transport productivities.
  • Follow up on the optimization of the supplier plan.
  • Manage the overall productivity of the panel and supplier performance.
  • Develop tools to improve productivity with suppliers.
  • Identify transport synergies and cost / inventory reduction actions.
  • Control and validate the billing process with carriers.
  • Ensure budget compliance.
  • Organize and define calendars for VA / VE workshops.
  • Follow up on mandatory documentation.
  • Approval of PR / PO in coordination with the regional team.
  • Manage overdue payments and standardize processes.
  • Follow up on contract signing and administration of new suppliers.
  • Coordinate the Acquisition Matrix for Programs.
  • Expense reporting and attendance at financial reviews.
  • Monitor the contribution of regional transport commodity results.
  • Coordinate advanced productivities in programs.
  • Attend routine meetings with suppliers.
  • Investigate and deploy market innovations.
  • Monitor raw material evolution and apply standard indexation in price lists.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management engineering.
  • Good command of English
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
