An animation studio in Madrid is looking for a motivated Technical Artist Support trainee to help resolve basic technical issues in the 3D animation department. This paid internship offers unique learning opportunities and the chance to network with industry leaders. Strong artistic or technical skills in 3D animation and a high level of English are essential. The position is on-site and ideal for those transitioning from classroom to industry.

Formación

• Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
• Knowledge of some 3D animation areas (Modelling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
• High English level; Spanish desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Fix the issues in the assigned scenes.
• Help artists to solve simple bugs.
• Review Pending Tickets.
• Assist artists when issues arise.
• Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
• Update documentation related to workflows and tools.
• Attend technical meetings as requested.
• Keep up on current artistic methodologies and technology trends.

Skydance Animation Madrid is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Artist Support trainee to join our studio!

As a Technical Artist Support trainee, you will be responsible for helping its assigned departments to solve basic technical issues.

Our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world experience. It is an experience ideal for those moving from the classroom to the industry.

This is a paid internship that will be held on-site.

Responsibilities

• Fix the issues in the assigned scenes.
• Help artists to solve simple bugs.
• Review Pending Tickets.
• Assist artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – eg. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
• Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
• Updating basic documentation. Review and update the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
• Attend technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.

Requirements

• Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
• Knowledge of some 3D animation areas (Modelling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
• Experience in any 3D animation Software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).

• High English level
• Spanish desirable
