Role

Position : Solution Architect, AP Automation

As the Solution Architect, AP Automation you will be responsible for designing, validating, and overseeing the delivery of automation solutions that meet client needs while aligning with our product capabilities and best practices. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, while also managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within scope. You will partner closely with customers and internal teams from discovery through go-live, shaping the technical blueprint, leading solution design, and ensuring flawless execution. This is a senior customer-facing role where you’ll serve as both the trusted technical advisor and the driving force behind successful solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand business objectives, technical environments, and automation goals.
• Design end-to-end automation architectures.
• Develop technical diagrams, solution blueprints, and architecture documentation.
• Serve as the technical project leader, managing solution delivery from design through deployment.
• Create and maintain project plans, tracking milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and QA to ensure alignment on priorities.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes to maintain project momentum.
• Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Ensure post-implementation reviews are conducted and lessons learned are documented for continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices for scalability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver tangible business value.
• Present solution concepts, technical roadmaps, and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or logistics technology.
• Proven track record designing and delivering complex system integrations.
• Strong understanding of APIs, EDI standards, data integration, and automation workflows.
• Project management experience or certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) and familiarity with Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or MS Project.
• Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and business conversations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, API keys).
• Experience with iPaaS platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Celigo).
• Working knowledge of ERP, WMS, or TMS platforms (CargoWise, Descartes, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates).
