Software Engineer – Agent Orchestration (9-month contract with bonus incentives) — Madrid, Barcelona

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the orchestration layer responsible for agent planning, memory management, and tool/service integration in AI-driven systems.
• Collaborate with ML, data, and backend teams to integrate models and data pipelines into robust, production-grade agent workflows.
• Design technical solutions for reliable multi-agent coordination, execution flow, error handling, and transparent monitoring of agent behavior in customer-facing environments.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security for end-to-end agent orchestration pipelines in production systems.
• Build, document, and maintain APIs and interfaces for connecting toolchains, model inference endpoints, and external services to agent orchestrator logic.
• Drive continuous improvements based on feedback from production data, incident analysis, and evolving use cases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 2+ years experience designing, building, and deploying distributed systems, workflow engines, or backend services in a production environment.
• Experience in agent orchestration, multi-agent systems, or LLM-based workflow automation (e.g., LangChain, ReAct, AutoGPT).
• Strong expertise in Python (or similar) and experience with major backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and integrating generative AI into complex execution pipelines.
• Hands-on experience integrating ML/AI models, APIs, or agentic logic into real-world applications and data pipelines.
• Understanding of reliability, scalability, and monitoring best practices for production-grade software.
• Effective communicator, able to work closely with engineering and ML teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to observability, security, and compliance requirements for customer-facing platforms.
