A leading healthcare technology company in Málaga is seeking a Software Engineer to work on a cloud-native platform for medical imaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, especially with the .NET stack, and will collaborate closely with teams in Belgium. This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, combining office and remote work to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Formación

  • Hands-on experience with .NET technology stack.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with healthcare standards (HL7 / DICOM) is a plus.

What you’ll achieve

You’ll be working on DeepUnity PACS on WEB, a cloud-native platform for diagnosing medical images and distributing images and diagnostic reports to all healthcare providers involved in patient treatment and to the patients themselves.

The product is used to distribute images created in nearly 500 hospitals and private practices, processing millions of images daily. Given the vast amount of crucial medical data, scalability, performance, and security are vital in this state-of-the-art solution.

You would be based in our Malaga office with the possibility to work from home several days a week.

You will collaborate closely with the Belgium offices and travel to meet your Belgium colleagues a few times per year.

You will:

  • Be part of one of the DU PACSonWEB scrum teams.
  • Be responsible for designing and developing fixes and functional improvements to the product.
  • Work on the full stack, ranging from database design and backend services to the UI.
  • Interact directly with the product owner and product manager to ensure the changes meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with service and infrastructure engineers to improve the serviceability and maintainability of the product.
  • Create automated tests and incorporate static code analysis to ensure high quality.

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software development.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • You are highly analytical and passionate about software development.
  • You have hands-on experience with a .NET technology stack.
  • You have experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with the following technologies is a plus:
    • SQL Server
    • C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
    • Xamarin
