Formación

Job Scope

As our new Sea-Freight Operator, you will be part of our Spanish Operative Team located in Valencia, directly reporting into the Branch Manager. You will manage ocean freight operations for both import and export, overseeing the entire process from planning to full execution of the shipment cycle and providing exceptional and pro‑active support through liaising with customers, shippers, network, and overseas partners, always respecting the deadlines. On a daily basis, you will look after all the documentation needed in order to meet all the shipping line operations and will serve as the primary point of contact for invoicing disputes with suppliers and customers.

You will have in dept knowledge of the documentations, invoicing, warehousing instructions, customers and suppliers contacts, being able to quickly recognize potential issues to report and elevate to the Sea Freight Supervisor on the daily operations.

Job responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the day to day operational tasks, following ocean freight operations for both import and export, arranging the shipment according to specific customer requirements
  • You will ensure that all customers' freight arrives on time, managing the shipment from acceptance to the arrival at destination
  • Handling transport documentation
  • Customs clearance
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Monitoring shipments and keeping clients updated on progress / any delays
  • Liaising with clients / carriers on arranging collections
  • Raising invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner, being the point of contact in case of disputes
  • Give all the Warehousing instructions
Skills
  • 3+ years of work experience in an international freight forwarding company
  • Familiar with both import and export operations as well as with customs procedures
  • Excellent team player, with natural drive and energy
  • Strong under pressure and a solution seeker, with the ability to plan and cope with the work under competing demands
  • Able to prioritize and manage workloads, dealing with strict priorities and deadlines
  • High class customer service and communication skills, able to handle potential difficult disputes
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and colleagues
  • Fluency both in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Products and IT tools in general
  • Experience in CargoWise is preferred
